Playtech Smashes Records with New Live Dealer Studio
Playtech’s continued quest to become the largest live casino provider in the industry took another giant leap forward in February with to the launch of a new live dealer gaming facility.
Following the opening of a new live dealer facility in Romania, Playtech took things to a new, record breaking, level in recent weeks by throwing open the doors to the largest venue of its kind. Based in the Latvian capital of Riga, the 8,500 square metre live dealer gaming studio dwarfs anything that’s gone before it and will not only act as a hub for Playtech’s leading games, but pave the way for a new generation of innovations.
More than a Live Dealer Gaming Studio
Housed within the Riga studio will be a full-fledged dealer training school as well as space for some of the industry’s top operators. Moreover, as the facility evolves, Playtech will be using it as a base to develop and test the latest live dealer technology.
“This now gives us the platform to deliver the next generation of live casino to our customers, and will also give us the flexibility and ability to deliver many new and innovative products,” said Playtech CEO Mor Weizer.
One of the first innovations to find a home in Riga will be Playtech’s Prestige Baccarat. Following the success of Prestige Roulette, the iGaming software developer has added a new baccarat version to the mix. As well as offering better betting options, the new game will offer enhanced camera angles, greater gaming features (more stats and betting aids) and more customisable features.
“Prestige Baccarat and the Prestige suite of products marks the beginning of a very exciting journey and Playtech Live unveiling its next generation of live dealer casino games, platform technology and software that we believe will take live casino to an entirely new level of product capability, performance and personalisation,” said Shimon Akad, Playtech COO.
Playtech Bidding to Become Industry’s Top Dog
In the last few months, Playtech has made a number of bold moves in a bid to become the top developer in the industry. In addition to new games and studios, the company released the first “true Omni-channel” slot at the start of 2017. Tiki Paradise will be exclusively available at Coral and, aside from being available online and on mobile, betting shops patrons will also have access to the game.
By linking the games across all three mediums, Playtech is not only hoping to enhance the playing experience, but give players more opportunities to win. Indeed, by registering their play online, on mobile and in a betting shop, players can unlock new features and bonuses. The end result, according to Playtech, will be a new, more immersive, slots experience.
This innovation, in conjunction with the news that company now owns the largest live dealer studio in the world, certainly signals that Playtech isn’t playing games in 2017.
